Seriously, you don't need me to tell you how sh!t rap is today. We go from poeticly minded lyrical geniouses like Tupac and Biggie rapping about life, to a bunch of illiterate wannabes like 50 Cent and Nelly rapping about their money over garbage computerized beats!!!! However since idiots can't be stopped from buying making all these clowns today rich, i won't hold my breath thinking that the genre will return to its roots. Anyway im disgusted with the state of rap today.

grunge isn't inevitably the recent prep, yet they are speaking with regard to the decline in fairly gay clothing which includes abercrombie, AE, and Aeropostal and a gaggle of alternative homo manufacturers. Indy rock is blown the **** up so human beings gown like the individuals they elect to be like. much less stupid popstars, (90s) much less preppy clothing. Umm you stated to soul artists, there are distinctive genres interior genres. Why are not ciara and rihanna pop, cuz they are black?

You're right...I'm not a big rap fan but I would have to admit that Tupac had something good to say....just his lyrics though...other than that rap is bull nowadays...

you need to get out more. ever heard of chris brown, lil bow wow, lil Jon, Sean Paul, Akon, Justin Timberlake, Black Eyed Peas, or lil Wayne? most of them sing about love if you havent noticed.
And, the majority of the people who say "rap is crap" havent even heard it before or grew up listening to something like "country" what if I ran around saying country is ****!!!? So don't be dissin my people. peace.
