Well, I don't know how old you are, but if you are still in high school, take as many science courses as you can. That includes chemistry, physics, math as well as the obvious biology. Get really good grades! Volunteering with animals is great too. Try working at the SPCA or at a zoo, or get a part time job at a pet store. These things look really great when you apply to college and to do post graduate work. Finally, research different colleges that offer a bachelor of science degree in zoology (many do) and find one that you like. Look at the courses they offer, and if there is a particular area of zoology that you are interested in, try to find a school that is more tailored to that area.
Good luck!

Well it depends how old you are. If you are still at school take A levels in science especially chemistry and biology. if you can stomach it do physics. If you are older than 21 without A levels go to college and do an access to science course. It lasts a year and will get you into university to study Zoology. That's what I did. Then apply for university. I went to Cardiff and it was amazing. The first year is very boring unless you like genetics, chemistry, statistics but the second and third year you can choose your own modules. Have a look on some university websites at the course. Universities include Nottingham, Cardiff, Bristol, Manchester, Swansea, Bangor, and York. Also look at the league table for universities (the guardian have one) for good universities because this matters. Good luck

if you want to become zookeeper, you don't need to study zoology.
and if you want to become a scientist, you won't necessarily end up feeding animals and stuff. instead you will be confronted with a lot of statistics, genetics, morphology, maths, chemistry, physics and so on.
as stated above by other users, get good grades in natural sciences (including maths), especially in biology, and study biology or zoology or something related.

i do not stay in India so i do not understand universities there which will be solid for you. however i understand that between the roles of a college counselor is to provide their students with such suggestions. flow on your college adviser, let them understand what you want to do and ask them what faculties you should inspect and in the journey that they could placed you in contact with someone in that line of work that you'll search for suggestion from from.
