She was funny, mysterious and entertaining:
Yes! She will be missed. We'll watch her on old tV shows, as well as Movies as listed below and remember her well. She was born Peggy Yvonne Middleton in 1938; Her professional name, Yvonne De Carlo, was a combination of her middle name (Yvonne) and her Italian mother's maiden surname (De Carlo).

Her break career came in 1945 playing the title role in Salome, Where She Danced.

In 1947 she played her first leading role in Slave Girl and then in 1949 had her biggest success.

The female lead opposite Burt Lancaster in Criss Cross.

The 1957 film Band of Angels.

Opposite Clark Gable in an American Civil War story, along with Sidney Poitier and Efrem Zimbalist, Jr.

For the next several years, she was constantly working although many of the films failed to advance her career.

The Ten Commandments (1956) in a leading role (as Zipporah, Moses' wife), The film was a huge success and De Carlo was among those to be praised for her restrained work.

The Munsters, was her most famous role and led her to pop culture legacy as Lily Munster in the cult television series, The Munsters (1964-1966), allowed De Carlo to demonstrate her comic flair.

A great TV icon of the 60s has passed. I hope there will be lots of Munster's repeats on this week to honor her.

I've seen old movies with her and she was a class-act.

She'll always be Lily Munster to me.

Always preferred the MUNSTERS over the ADDAMS FAMILY any day, any episode. She now rejoins Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis. Thoughts and prayers go to her Family.

Yes she will. From what I've read she was a wonderful, hard working person in real life as well, how sad!
