I would forgive them if it was a accident. Let them make good by paying the deductible. If it looks like they don't care then break up with them.

It happened to me right in my own driveway , when leaving my girlfriend was parked next to me and started to back up and cut her wheel sharply and clipped my rear quarter panel smashing it in and got our bumpers locked together . It was late and I had fallen asleep on the couch when she came back in with the news. Though I was not a happy camper I did nothing really except complain of her driving skills . We are married 20 years now and I still won't let her park next to me and I"m still waiting on my payment :) . I think I'll let her off the hook this anniversary.

First you didnt say what happened...whose fault?? Did you give permission? If so an accident isnt a reason to break up unless you were looking for one

It would depend on how close they are to you. If you two are really close, that person will probably pay you back even if you break up with him/her or not.
If you are not close at all he/she might just not pay you at all.
Do you really want to be with that kind of person?
If you want to break up with him/her right away, most people wouldn't pay you back.

OMG>>>>> are you serious? i would MESS THEM UP!! lol but seriously speaking though, it depends on the duration and quality of the relationship and how guilty they are of the offence. if they care enough about you in the relationship, they should respect you enough to take responsibility for their actions....and pay up.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BREAK UP WITH THEM UNLESS THIS WAS IN THE PLANS OR IF THIS WAS THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMELS BACK. THINK I'D WAIT FOR THE MONEY FIRST.
