The first song I learned was "I wanna be sedated" by the ramones. Turns out all Ramones songs are easy too. Most Black Sabbath songs are easy. 80's hair metal ballads are pretty easy too. Oh and one more.....Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes might be the easiest of all.

something by potential of eco-friendly Day - very nearly each and every song they play is 3 chords or much less yet another One Bites the dirt - Queen Smoke on the water by potential of Deep pink is great common. Rock on! :)

Try Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love". Lots of repetition, like "Smoke on the Water". A garage band classic! Good luck!

"Iron Man" by Black Sabbath. "Song 2" by Blur.
Then of course Green Day and Nirvana, etc, etc.

try "come as you are" by nirvana. The first time I picked up a guitar, someone showed me how to play that and it was simple. still, it is the only riff I can play on guitar.
