in response to a previous question saying that bushs approval rating should skyrocket after tonights speech. there were 104 responses when i went through them all. out of that 104 only 7 of them were favorable to the president...that makes it between 7 and 8 percent. does this reflect his real approval ratings and not the ones we hear on television

Hmm Im surprised that here on Y/A those numbers wouldnt be higher. This seems to be the last refuge for those few stragglers who support G.W.

No. Every poll taken shows him between 30-40% with the average being in the low 30s.

One possible reason is that older people tend to vote Republican more often. These same older people aren't as proficient with computers as younger people who are more often liberal/Democrats. This biases the responses on a technology-driven medium (Yahoo Answers) toward the Democratic side.
