I tried it but don't know why it doesn't want to work?

Hmmm . . . theoretically, if the USB cable's sockets are the same on both of them, you should be able to use either one. Try a different cable. If that doesn't work, then your problems could be with the software or one of the devices. Good luck!

If it fits of course.
Its only a cable to transfer data, not a power source.

is it the exact same fitting and are you on an os where it does not auto detect new hardware if so and it is a form of windows go to control panel and from there it is self explanitary

the cable shouldnt matter, it all depends on drivers, make sure they are installed.

no you cant use the same usb cord because they are two different things
