Yeah I agree with you Its cruel just to go out and shoot something for the fun of it (wheres the fun?) Men like that have something to prove with their egos or other things(if you get what I mean) But if hunting is a means of a food source then its okay.

I am very surprised by all the positive answers I read. I think its so wrong to hunt. Then again I am a vegetarian. I think its wrong and cruel to kill animals needlessly. My bf's whole family are hunters and I knew this when I got with him...the only thing I ever asked of him is DO NOT bring home any kills that you have and never ever think I will cook it for you. Of course I cook meat for him and my children..I do not try to change them.

Ugh I think its disgusting! I'm a vegetarian, but I don't mind people eating meat .. but the idea of killing something for entertainment is disturbing. Like my best friend's family are OBSESSED with hunting .. they have like 12 deer heads in their house .. & once when I was over there a baby possum was in their front yard & her lil brother shot it for fun. How sick is that ? Someone needs to make that kid watch Bambi.

Sol ong as the animal does not go to waste, then I have no problem with it.
But then, I do see the cruelty in it - I don't think any person likes to be gunned down by some gang in an alley 'as a sport'.

Hunting actually prevents overpopulation of deer and is encouraged by many states.Hunters ,however must abide by strict rules and regulations, and I believe most do.Most hunters use the meat themselves and I've seen many hunters donate the meat to homeless shelters. They don't just run wild killing everything in sight, give them a little credit!

Because people just think animals are what they are: animals. They don't ever stop and take the time to think about what the animals are feeling. If people treated animals like humans, then maybe life might be better for the animals.

It is really cruel. Animals are there for food, not to see who's better at killing it. That's brutal. And they stick them up on their walls. They dont even eat it most of the time. Not only is it cruel but it's also wasteful and a sin.

I see nothing wrong with hunting. Is it worse to shoot a deer who will die suddenly and use its meat to eat on or to see it starve to death because of overpopulation and low food resources in the winter? The deer population is out of control. They create hazards on the roads and hundreds of them are killled by automobiles, with the added component of possibe injuries or death to people involved in car-deer accidents.
I wish more people were as concerned about people who can't advocate for themselves like children and old people than they are about game animals.

Do you eat meat? Do you think it just originates in little yellow trays from Safeway or Kroger?
Hunting or fishing can look cruel and insensitive until you're hungry!
Are you vegan?

If you hunt for food, I agree, but as a sport, I can't understand the pleasure in that at all.
