I don't think anyone ever found out where Cotton Eyed Joe went. People have been asking that question long before they ever did, and it will be asked forever. Everytime I go to a country bar, I hear a song asking where he went, or where he came from.
Wild and Free, the Rednex are a group that sang that song several years ago.

People, please excuse my previous post. I apologize for reacting as if someone were being rude about red necks - I did not know the Rednex are a music group!! You get so much crap about the South, I guess I was overly sensitive. Forgive me!
Now I've gotta find a copy of the Rednex album ......
