Is the SIMS 2 worth buying?

I've heard some great things about it, but I don't know if it is really as good as said. Or, are there any other life simulation games that are good?

It depends on if you like simulation games. If you do, then Sims 2 is perfect for you. It's fun creating families and watching them grow and create new generations; you can even "clone" your own family into the game... lol It also depends on your computer too though. If your computer can't handle the requirements needed to play the game, there'd be no point in buying it unless you're willing to buy it and then wait till you get a new computer.

To answer your question about there being any other good life simulation games, the Sims series is the only life one I know about. But other simulation games I like are Rollercoaster Tycoon, and I also heard that Zoo Tycoon is really good. There's another one I've heard about that's good but I can't remember what it is offhand, but it's a "Tycoon" game as well... Hope this helps. =)

I bought the Sims 2, and I've only played it a few times. I never had the original Sims, so I can't really compare the two games. The Sims 2 is pretty good. I enjoyed it, but I'm not a huge fan of simulation games period. With the Sims 2 you can get your Sim to do pretty much anything you want them to do, and you can watch them grow and everything. It's pretty cool, but as far as worth buying?? I don't know. For me it wasn't worth it because I don't ever play the game. But I guess if you like the Sims, then it probably would be worth it for you.

Heck Yes im The BIGGEST Sims 2 FAN EVER. I have been playing if about 7 years. lol. I just love it. You should go to thesims2.com and read about the stuff that happens in peoples game. I like it now because now your people grow up- baby>toddler>child>teen>adult>elder> then they die. LOL. Your sims can also get sick from bad food and the new EP(expansioni pack) that is coming out in a few months is called Seasons and your sims can get sick if not dressed proparly. The EP that are our are (they are in order) The Sims2>Nightlife>Open For Business>Family Fun>Pets>Happy Holidays>Soon to be Seasons, um lets see what else is there to say lol if i think of any more i will tell you.
