I like a nice manly bush. No little boys for me, thank you very much. Did you know that hair is actually much more hygienic than bald? Hair helps the air circulate and evaporate sweat. The bush keeps your skin healthy, and you don't stink. Unless you have crabs, keep the hair very clean, but keep it.

The answer is contingent on a couple factors.
1. Just how much hair you have, how dense it is, how scruffy it looks and how dark it is. Overall, some guys have quite naturally neat clean looking pubic hair and there is no need to worry about it. But for those of us who are more average we eithe rhave this scruffy mess or a dark dense bush or what-have-you that would definitely benefit from regular trimming to keep us neat and clean looking.
2. the preference you and your current bf or gf have regarding your pubic hair. If it is fine for you both then keep it; if either of you dislike it then shave it. Oh, and don't worry if you change bf's or gf's; the hair will grow back so the new bf/gf can have their say.
As for how much of what to shave, I seem to look best with my scrotum shaved and hair above penis trimmed short. One of my roommates shaves above his penis and the upper part of his scrotum to look his best and another roomie trims his pubes and leaves his scrotum. All a matter of personal taste.
So, take a look at yoruself in the mirror and decide what to try. You could start with a complete shave and watch as it grows back to see what stage it looks best then keep it trimmed to that level. Or if you really dig yourself shaved then stay that way.
but shaved or trimmed or untouched, make sure to shower daily to wash and rinse the genital region well. And after any activity that gets you hot and sweaty hit the showers right after to maintain your cleanliness. After all, shaving or trimming the hair might make you look cleaner but it is equally important to smell and taste clean too.

Keep it trimmed and nice, manscaping is a good thing! You can go crazy and shave it all off, but it will itch when it grows back in. Plus you can nick yourself, which is never a good thing. So just be careful with whatever you do. I'm sure who ever is going near your crotch will appreciate not getting a face full of hair!

Just keep it tidy and clean. I think it looks funny bare and it itches like crazy when it grows back.
