Yes there are plenty of books around but the best is probably the NICEIC publication.
"Inspection, Testing and Certification" ISBN 0-95-310588-1.
It's £25 and very good value.
Also get the "On Site Guide" to BS7671 issued by the IEE.
ISBN 0-86341-374-9
This book gives more information than the Regs Book and I suggest you also get "Inspection and Testing" guidance note 3 also from the IEE ISBN 0-85296-991-0.
These books will get you through the 2391 course.

Listen to the professionals mate roberts hit the nail on the head

if you contact the union as a member you will get a discount on the on site guide and take from people who know the only one to have is the Amicus version.
