IN 2006 WILL CLARK ONLY RECEIVED 4% OF THE VOTE. UNDER MLB HOF RULES IF YOU ONLY RECEIVE LESS THAN 5% OF THE VOTE THEN YOU LOSE YOUR PLACE ON THE BALLOT.

In last year's voting, which was his first year of eligibility, Clark received 23 votes (4.4%), which was 3 votes short of the 5% needed to remain on the ballot.

i dont think it would have mattered if his name was on the list because it had Mark McGwire and Jose Canseco who both fell short in balloting and as I can recall being an A's fan.. the A's and the Bash Brothers swept the Gaints in the World Series in 89. He was a great player tho.. but i think in order to get into the Hall he will have to be on a relatively "weak" HOF ballot.

He didn't get enough votes to stay on the ballot. He was great to watch, but unfortunately, just not a Hall of Famer.

Did not put up enough career numbers and did not have more than a couple of great years.
