I downloaded a few things of the net like dresses, hair types, makeup, and so on to install in my game, but i can't because these things are in a zip folder. I even downloaded WinZip and I still can't open these downloads to install in my Sims 2 game. Can any one tell me How I can do this or what I should do?

you could enable custom content manually. to attempt this, initiate the Sims 2. once the game has complete loading, enter an section. Now, click on the "..." button, then the game concepts Button (sounds like a touch equipment or cog). Set "Catalogs show custom content" to ON. once you've Nightlife or later expansions, set "show custom content communique at Startup" to OFF. go out the game thoroughly. Restart the game often. Your custom content must be accessible.
