I doubt it. Intake systems have been made to work for whatever engine they have been designed for. Adding something will probably slow down airflow and rob you of power. Most of the swirling action occurs inside the cylinder so creating a vortex outside might impede this action.

If it relatively is a real chilly air intake equipment then yeah it is nicely worth it interior the lengthy run. yet those kits that maximum human beings purchase are no longer something yet a tube with an air filter out on the tip it is purely feeding the vehicle warm engine compartment air. The air filter out should be routed exterior the engine compartment or be sealed off from the engine compartment and getting great clean exterior air. in case you are able to'd take care of to pay for one among those structures then purely use the inventory setup with a ok&N filter out. And 5-8 hp is a sturdy estimate.

NO
and no offense to those of you who bought one of these ridiculous scam devices but you got TAKEN. You would have to be mentally retarded to really believe that a freaking spiral shaped piece of aluminum jammed in your intake is going to make your car get better mileage and more powerful.
First of all, any "swirl" effect created by it is done and over with by the time the air actually enters the combustion chamber.
Second, don't you think if it was THAT easy, that auto manufacturers would just spend the extra 75 cents it costs to make one of those and just build it into the car.
Don't be dumb, people. The Federal Trade Comission has investigated these things along with "Slick50" and the rest of the snake oil cures for your car.

Think about it,anything that is placed into the air intake is considered an obstruction. Even though it swirls the air,it still restricts the air flow. That device is a scam and has been proven to be, many times, by many people.

My husband just installed one on my 2003 Chevy Blazer a few weeks ago. I drive 62 mi round trip daily. While I haven't seen a significant increase in MPG there is ABSOLUTELY more giddyup! And for being on I-95 everyday- that's a definite plus! Good luck!

the tornado actually improves gas mileage a little, but i doubt it adds any real horsepower. I think a cold air intake and exhaust for your car is a better way to get more power and better gas mileage. plus change the air filter, fuel filter, oil, and add fuel system treatment regularly.

Idk what that is, if its like a Tornado, its not worth it. they dont do anything really. If you want, u can add whole different Air intake kit form a company like AEM, K&N, or Injen. One of these will add about 10hp and a few mpg for anywhere form $150-$300.

Snake oil.
I think they did a Mythbusters on this one didn't they? I know I've seen some independent test that showed it was bunk.

Well, sorry to be vague, but I can say this: I've got the tornado in mine, and it doesn't hurt.
