Think of radio waves as a form of invisible light. It is an electromagnetic wave that oscillates (pulses) at a frequency that you cannot see.

When radio waves strike a conductor, like the anttenna on your radio, they push electrons around, causing an electric current to flow in the conductor. The radio detects this.

They are electromagnetic waves, like light, with wavelengths between 1 meter and 300 meters in length

Radio waves can be recieved with an antenna, that converts the wave back to an oscillation voltage, that can be amplified
