i recently purchased an ipod and downloaded latest version of itunes. i seems it won't allow me to put my music on my ipod. it's a nano so it does not require a software disc for the computer to recognise it. i have read a few vague posts on this and it seems i need windows xp with service pack 2. i am currently running the prehistoric windows 2000 professional and i don't want to spend $80 on xp if i don't have to. thanks for any help

No you don't need Win XP but you will need to download and install Win 2000 Service Pack 4 in order for Ipod to work. The SP4 includes usb 2.0 driver It can be download here http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks/sp4/default.mspx
