Our physical bodies propel us into our roles, what we're designed to do. Both human, with different parts, though lately, the parts are interchangeable.
So, that leaves our minds as the "brains" behind the process.

it's all in the gene's my friend, you know x's and y's, plus we are conditioned as children to grow up to be a man or woman,
Little boys play with trucks and toy soldiers and rough games, plus the standard "boys don't cry" stuff.
little girls learn to play with dolls and make playhouse's with baby etc, etc,
It is all conditioning from birth plus the help from our own genetics that make us what we are, usually that and our surroundings go a long way towards the difference between girls and boys, although there are cases that do not fit the mold and these are interesting in how this happens as no amount of outside inputs will change that persons take on life, I've seen this first hand.
DNA and Geno types are very interesting studies which may point you in the direction that you are looking for but may still not give you the answer.

Everyone has different personalities. Men tend to be more aggressive than woman because they let their anger out by yelling. Women usually either cry to let anger out or they hold back their emotions which may not be good.
