According To my boy friend , his family and friends there is? I have asked other people to point it out to me, I have even given people examples of what they mean, and other people say that is the way people communicate. Here is an example: three people are talking about how much they love shopping, and how they take all of these trips all over to shop together, they often travel to other states, the forth person in the car (that would be me) askes them, " So Have You Guys' ever been to the Mall of America?" They Say no, so as part of my conversation, I state that "my older brother went there once and Loved it, he said "it was hugh"; I bet You all would have fun shopping there". I talk like that all the time, What am I doing so wrong, how am I being rude?? Please any one who sees what I have done wrong or right in this exchange, please tell me so I can change this..I dont want to lose him because of my behavior!!!!

It didn't sound like you were being rude, but if it offended them, perhaps they thought you were showing off, or maybe they are just not used to sharing their conversations with a non family member, just be careful with what you say, say less rather than more, always smile and be polite, eventually they will feel more comfortable with you and you will be better friends. I hope it all works out, it is hard to find your place in a boyfriends family
