I would like to buy a frame for a recent college grad's degree

They're not very big. I believe mine is smaller than a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.
If you want to buy a frame, you need to either measure it yourself, or find a company that specializes in frames for universities and give them the name of the school so they can look it up.

They can vary in size, a lot. My undergrad diploma is about 11 X 17", but my grad school diploma is under 8 1/2 X 11. You could always call the university and ask them what size their diploma is. If the bookstore has a website they probably list frames, and you can figure out the size from that.

Varies. Mine is 8.5 X 11- my BF's is HUGE.
