Don't stress out yet! Of course if you have sex you could be pregnant, but just being 2 days late could in fact be from stress. Other than the late period do you have any other symptoms? Tender Breasts was the first sign for me! Anyway, you could test negative even if you are pregnant if you test too early. If you don't get your period in another week test again. Good luck to you!

Sure you could be pregnant. It's so easy. I'm constantly worried that my girlfriend is, but it's just another thing in life. And who know's? Maybe it will be a good thing. One thing that you can be sure of, is that money will be tight when you have one, but just changing a few habit's will bring the balance back. Don't worry about it, especially if its only 2 days. It can be as late as 2 weeks in some cases (my girlfriend last time), but it will come eventually. My girlfriend has been pregnant once, but she miscarried. It was mine too :)
Basically, just chill. Stressing won't help, I promise. Just drop everything (except those 'fragile' boxes ;). As long as you're in a good relationship with someone, it will work out well. And if you're not, that doesn't mean you wont enjoy it either. Again, it will just be money being tight. As long as you stay out of debt, you'll be fine.
P.S. Debt actually COSTS money to be in. Don't do it, even with small amounts. You'll be getting ripped off!

It could be stress, but this happened to me, I did about five early detection tests after being late about a week so I was sure I wasnt pregnant. Then it still didn't come and I did seven more tests a couple of weeks later, all positive (I just couldn't believe it!) My advice is to try and relax and try to forget about it for a couple of weeks and then if you're still late just keep testing every few days. You could always go to your doctor and get a blood test as that will pick it up easier. Good luck, and try not to stress about it. If you're preg, you can cross that bridge when you come to it.

The tests at the health clinic are not actually as sensitive as the OTC tests...seriously...ask them and they'll tell you that. Buy a First Response test from Wal-Mart, this is the most sensitive test you can buy, and will tell you if you are pregnant up to 4 days before you have even missed your period. So, it'd tell you if you were pregnant by now for sure. Stress can make you late, and sometimes not menstruate at all. But, to ease your nerves, go buy one of those tests.

It could be due to stress, as I have been in this situation several times. I am on the pill, and there are times when I miss my period for days, even months, and I take a preg. test and it is negative.. I find I am stressed a great deal and it doesn't help... stay calm and if your still missing it, take another test. Good Luck

omg, I haven't had my period in 3 months now because of stress, and you're only 2 days late! 2 days late is seriously not enough time to know for sure, so if you're really worried you should check with the clinic again a week or more later.
Try out ways to relax a little. Baths really help. Yoga, Tai-Chi, music, exercising, reading, and watching movies can all help.

Absolutely. Stress can cause you to miss a period since it throws your hormones out of whack. I'd try not to worry too much about it, and maybe take another pregnancy test in a few weeks if you're still concerned. It's actually fairly normal to miss a period every once in a great while - I occasionally do.

Hi Honey, here are some symptoms of pregnancy, check them and then see your doctor
Tender, swollen breasts
One of the early signs of pregnancy is sensitive, sore breasts caused by increasing levels of hormones. The soreness may feel like an exaggerated version of how your breasts feel before your period. Your discomfort should diminish significantly after the first trimester, as your body adjusts to the hormonal changes.
Fatigue
Feeling tired all of a sudden? No, make that exhausted. No one knows for sure what causes early pregnancy fatigue, but it's possible that rapidly increasing levels of the hormone progesterone are contributing to your sleepiness.
You should start to feel more energetic once you hit your second trimester, although fatigue usually returns late in pregnancy when you're carrying around a lot more weight and some of the common discomforts of pregnancy make it more difficult to get a good night's sleep
Nausea or vomiting
If you're like most women, morning sickness won't hit until about a month after conception. (A lucky few escape it altogether.) But some women do start to feel queasy a bit earlier. And not just in the morning, either — pregnancy-related nausea and vomiting can be a problem morning, noon, or night.
About half of women with nausea feel complete relief by the beginning of the second trimester. For most others it takes another month or so for the queasiness to ease up.
Increased sensitivity to odors
If you're newly pregnant, it's not uncommon to feel repelled by the smell of a bologna sandwich or cup of coffee and for certain aromas to trigger your gag reflex. Though no one knows for sure, this may be a side effect of rapidly increasing amounts of estrogen in your system. You may also find that certain foods you used to enjoy are suddenly completely repulsive to you.
Abdominal bloating
Hormonal changes in early pregnancy may leave you feeling bloated, similar to the feeling some women have just before their period arrives. That's why your clothes may feel snugger than usual at the waistline, even early on when your uterus is still quite small.
Frequent urination
Shortly after you become pregnant, you may find yourself hurrying to the bathroom all the time. Why? Mostly because during pregnancy the amount of blood and other fluids in your body increases, which leads to extra fluid being processed by your kidneys and ending up in your bladder.
This symptom may start as early as six weeks into your first trimester and continue or worsen as your pregnancy progresses and your growing baby exerts more pressure on your bladder.
A missed period
If you're usually pretty regular and your period doesn't arrive on time, you'll probably take a pregnancy test long before you notice any of the above symptoms. But if you're not regular or you're not keeping track of your cycle, nausea and breast tenderness and extra trips to the bathroom may signal pregnancy before you realize you didn't get your period.
Your basal body temperature stays high
If you've been charting your basal body temperature and you see that your temperature has stayed elevated for 18 days in a row, you're probably pregnant
Good luck.

It could be stress causing you not to start your period. It could also be a change in your weight, or eating habits. I haven't had my period in eight months (lost 30 pounds), and believe me, in that time I have taken plenty of pregnancy tests just to make sure, but I went to the doctor and was told that I should wait a few more months before I am concerned about more serious issues.
