Back in the 80's Stonehedge was becoming popular in the news it was a duce from another stonehedge in America where people where being mysteriously hatchet to death by mysterious invesible swordsman, invisible archers and by what appears to be people living beneath the earth who only show their arms coming up from out of the ground with a sword and cuting to pieces people with bad charactor or genetics other people would live without a hassle. I believe it was Prince Charles who became interested in this phennomimon and sent some of his body guards to investigate where a large portion of them where butchered but others guards felt relief on getting rid of them and so Prince Charles came to take the test would if he where a good man escape the may ham of the mysterious swordsman.

I don't know about all of that legend stuff, but I have been to "America's Stonehenge" It is in Salem, New Hampshire. There is evidence to suggest two entirely seperate groups of people having inhabited the area and the rocks in the area are set up in such a way as to mark the passage of the sun and relate it to important yearly events like the equinoxes and solstices. There is a bunch more to it as well. I think either Discovery Channel or National Geographic did a show about it as well.

I read about the other Stonehenge when I looked up images of the real Stonehenge on the web. You do mean Stone HeNge don't you? If I recall correctly it is a modern replica and it is out west somewhere. Never heard the creepy stories you are telling. Sounds like your'e having bad dreams but your idea would make a great video game!

Three is another similar formation at Avebury. Perhaps the oldest such formation is located on the Orkney Islands. See the information linked below. The murder portion of the story lacks any creditability as I know. Prince Charles is probably better with polo than with a broadsword.

This sounds like science fiction. Prince Charles wouldn't send people he entrusts with his life to investigate a mass murder, that's the job of the local police. Nor, as the next in line to the throne, willingly put himself in a situation where he could easily be killed.

Yes, but that's not what it is.STONEHENGE. On Salisbury Plain England Lies a magnificent stone circle that was once used for religious ceremonies and has been attributed to the Druids, a castle of Celtic priest. It's beginnings actually go back to the Neolithic people of British Isles. Some historians say it dates back to 3000 B.C.

There is also a modern day version of Stonehenge in North Georgia, U.S.A.

They are called the Guidestones. They were erected under mysterious circumsances just a few years ago. Nothing to do with your legend, but very interesting.

I'd love to see any 'stone hedge'!

And you really think - with all the media coverage of charles a loss of his bodyguards - who are Police and not 'hired'/paid by him would not have got publicity?

I agree with the others comments - there is a replica Stonehenge in the USA - and you're smoking some good stuff!!

I know there's a replica of the original Stonehenge in or around Kerville, Texas. In fact, I saw it about 10 years ago. It was really neat!! I don't know if that's the one you're talking about, but if it is then I've never heard of anything like you described ever happening there.

Here's some links about it:
