Does anyone else hate those Charmin bear commercials?

I am totally annoyed by those commercials for some reason. I am wondering if anyone else hates them...and if so, why?

Hell NO --- they are great!!! My grandson would jam the toilet EVERY time he would use the potty -- until he saw that only 4 sheets were needed at a time!! Thank God!!!

I hate them because nobody seems to realize that it's a freaking cartoon!!!!! How does a freakin cartoon prove ANYTHING???

"You can tell that Charmin is soft. How? Well just look at this cartoon bear! Cartoon bears only smile and get that pleased look on their faces when wiping with Charmin. Of course, we could have had the bear wipe his butt and have his eyeball fly out or his ear explode or have a jet plane crash into his nose because it's a freaking cartoon and we can do anything with it we want. But we wanted to show you that Charmin is soft and what better way to do that that have a cartoon bear smile. when a cartoon bear smiles, you KNOW it's soft! Well, you also know that some guy drew a smile on his face, but that's another issue..."

I mean, it's obvious that they think the consumer public is really stupid. "Gentlemen, we need to show that Charmin is soft. Now how will we do it? Consumer testing? show the actual Charmin in a television commercial and perform some sort of test against another brand? Send free samples out in the mail and let people see for themselves?"

"Well, we could just draw a cartoon..."

"Brilliant! Get on that right away."

That annoys but the spoiled brat who screams up and down in the Carmax ad b/c she didn't get the blue mini cooper for her sweet 16 but got a red instead is very irritating but funny. The only thing I hate about the Charmin ad is that the mama bear is the only that knows how to change the roll and the rest are looking at it real stupid. I know how she feels though.

I can,t stand that commercial either and you must know I'm telling the truth or I wouldn't have picked this question to answer! Watching bears wipe their butts is just as disgusting as if it were humans even if they are cartoon bears. Taking a dump is gross enough but .......and big fat bear butts isn't funny. Charmin should DUMP that commercial!

That commercial hasn't quite been a thorn in my side as much as:

1) Campells Tomato Soup... Possibilities!
2) I want my Baby Back (Chili's Baby Back Ribs)
3) Happiness runs... fruity cheerios commercial.

WRITE A LETTER! I wrote a letter to Chili's a few years back (during the last Summer olympics) to complain about their commercial. I don't think I've seen it since.

Thank you...that is the most deplorable commercial of all time. I think what makes it so bad is that they WANT us to think that it's sooooo cute, but it is just stupid and disgusting. Why the hell is he sh!tting on the ground in front of the tree anyway, it just makes no sense. I always wonder if he is going to bury it when he's done like a cat, or just leave it there with a used piece of @ss-wipe paper on top.

I can understand that it's a send off of the old bear sh**ing in the woods joke, but yeah after awhile watching a bear take a dump can get annoying.

Yeah I hate them. I also hate the Energizer™ Bunny.
Any commercial that has a "cute" mascot, just makes me want to jump through the TV and hurt them. Well as long as the "cute" mascot isn't real anyways.

i hate them too. I don't need the visual image of a bear wiping it's own a$$ out in the woods to know that I need to purchase toilet paper. And they're so damn happy about it too. That annoys me. And they dont need to dance either. Cha Cha Cha.... Charmin!!! Christ, who thinks up that crap???

Funniest question all day!! And yes, I hate them too, so very very much.

Here's the thing--no one wants to think about pooping while they're watching tv. We all know we do it, we all know we need toilet paper, but I don't want to watch some animated bear take a dump in the woods and then smile about it with their dad.
