where's the question that you asked that you got such a response to? I'd like to read it.
They drive me nuts too. I decide not to ask some questions on here because i know the answers i'd get would just tick me off. It seems people think because they have a tid bit of information that they can fill in the rest with the worst case senerio and then ***** at you about it.

I saw your other question and I know what you mean about people being judgemental. I asked a question about having a uniary tract infection while I was pregnant and people jumped all over me about an std and me being stupid because me and my bf were having unprotected sex and I was stupid to think we do not have std's...even tho we were both tested before we even thought about having sex. I know what you mean and what's worse is don't these people understand we are pregnant women and hormones are raging they should be a little more nicer when asking these innocent questions......thanks for asking this i feel better know im not the only one who feels this way.

A lot of doctors are doing this as a precaution, not to be judgemental towards you. I work at a hospital and many, many doctors are including this test in theor prenatal panel now. You just never know does what anymore. It probably just as a precaution, better to know before rather then later after the child is born

I see it a lot too. Some people dont even read the question fully. I used to get upset but now I just sift through the BS and pay attention to the real answers from people that are actually trying to answer the question the best they can. Take Care.

I read your question and thought it was a good one. I had heard of newborn testing, but didn't know much about it, so I didn't comment, but I read some of the answers...you are right, they are very judgemental. I didn't think that when you asked the question until people mentioned it. Thanks for asking, because some of the answers were good and I appriciated learning from them! Good Luck to you!

if your doctor suspects you are doing drugs then there is a great possibility that they will test. if the baby comes out and has withdrawal symptoms or defects they are going to test. if you dont do drugs your kids will be fine and you shouldnt worry about what they test for but only glad that they care about the babies they deliver to test for drugs use if they suspect it. it is their job to judge and make educated decisions thats probably why they make so much money.

AMen! I don't know what your original question was but I completely agree with you and understand where you are coming from. Just remember that you owe the rude people on here nothing and take the quallity answers that you do get while disregading everything else.

Look at it this way, people here do not know you personally. Do not ask questions if you don't want peoples real opinions. I hate it too, but no matter what you ask, people are going to judge. Only because they do not know you, and are judging from your question.

I don't do drugs, and I'm 36w pregnant. If the doc wants to test for drugs... go nuts! I have nothing to hide.

I saw your question and I understood you were asking about someone else. People are always going to be judgemental.
