Why is it so hard to fit into a new school...one month, no friends.....?

i am 15.

ok so i moved from oklahoma to minnesota. i had lots of friends in my last school and no one disliked me. now i've moved no one talks to me, when i try to talk to them people are friendly enough, but they clearly have their own friends and groups and don't want me in them. i'm not going to bother to join any of the clubs because if i did i'd b worse off than i started...because there are nly clubs like math club and astronomy club. i am not nerdy, i am not popular, so i don't understand why....

i want to go homeeeee. all i had were my friends. only my dad and a uncle and 2 aunts who i saw once in a blue moon. no mom, no grandparents, no cousins, no siblings! i neeeeeed friends!

any ideas on what i can do? the whole, just be yourself and wait isn't working, i've been doing that for like the past month!

i didn't say they were nerdy clubs....

The only thing I would suggest is to keep trying to talk to different people and eventually you will find someone who is willing to make a new friend.

What if you go out for one of the sports teams? or the school play? or the yearbook club? Something more social than the "nerd" groups (as you put it). When I moved from Chicago to the suburbs life was very wierd for me. I was a white girl who grew-up in a black and hispanic neighborhood....moving to whitebread suburbia..in seventh grade....talk about no friends. I listened to different music than everyone, wore different clothes, even ate different food! If I had joined some clubs, I may have made more friends. Just a thought.

try helping them out. Like homer or some project. they'll notice you. it work for me when i transfer to a whole differnet contry from mexico to US and i went throught high school ok. and may be trow a couple of jokes so they wont think that ur a nurd. try to be funny but put yourself limits on how funny to be
