got it!!!! it is called child of rage
a priest and his wife adopt 2 children catherine and eric. catherine has extreme boughts of anger she stabs the dog with a needle beats her little brothers head on the basement floor and hides a knife in the arm of her teddy bear and tries to kill her adoptive father. they go to all lengths to try to help her and later find out she was abused sexually as a toddler
