I've never heard of Cricket Wireless. But as long as you check to make sure that Verizon is also a CDMA network - like Cricket - the unlocked phone should work.

Yes as long as you can find a Cricket dealer who will put a foreign ESN into the system. From what I read, most in most areas will. Verizon phones aren't locked so it should be okay as long as they can figure out how to program it. They could possibly use OTA programming with *22804 as well. They'll need to do that to update the PRL anyway. Other things like wireless web or picture messaging would have to be manually configured in the phone before they'll work with Cricket.

just because they are unlock doesnt mean the work on any carriers network. Beware. In some cases it would be easier just to get a contract with a carrier instead of cricket because all the hidden fees and charges will even out to about the price of a good service. But as far as the phone is concerned just stay with the phones the carrier provides to make you life easier.

An unlocked cell phone will work with any provider. Originally the phone will have been manufactyured to be used only with verizon but since then it has been unlcoked and can be used with anyone you choose.

like geoff said take it to a dealer not a cricket corporate store to get activated(it'll be much easier)cricket does take foreign esn numbers(sprint,verizon..etc)....just have them flash the prl 1039 so the fone will know what towers to "talk" to and more than likely you will have to manually program the fone..
