How do I change a mixed numeral percentage into a fraction? The example would be 33 1/3%

Think first about how you'd convert a whole number percentage to a fraction. For example, try 25%. "Percent" just means "per 100", so we just divide the number by 100. Thus, we can write 25% as 25/100 [or 25 * (1/100)] (which simplifies to 1/4).

Same idea for mixed number percents, except there's an extra step. First convert 33 1/3 to an improper fraction.
33 1/3 = [(33 * 3) + 1] / 3 = [99 + 1] / 3 = 100 / 3

OK, now we just divide100/3 by 100, which is the same as multiplying by 1/100:
100/3 * 1/100.

The 100s cancel out in this case, and you get 1/3.

Hope this helps!

The answers is 1/3.
Just divide the percentage by 100 = 0.333 , which is 1/3.
Unlike whole percentages, sometimes when you divide by 100, the answer you get may not be a recognizible fraction. eg. 34 8/11 % that cannot be represented as a single fraction

33% is 1/3

33% = .33

let's say x=.33
10x=10*.33=3.3
100x=100*.33=33.3
100x-10x=33.3-3.3
90x=30
x=30/90=1/3
