Definitely the one where they went up against the super-semi and killed the first KITT.
The one with KATT was decent, but not as compelling, imho.

Knight of the Phoenix. It took itself seriously, and was more about Michael and his personal story.
The series quickly became less about "the lone crusader in a dangerous world" and "a man who does not exist" and more about "what new tricks can we have KITT do this week". KITT became the star and everything else was less important. The plots became very contrived and many were hard to believe "so why is FLAG involved with this again?"
