for one the Iraq surrender group you praised said that it would be a good idea and for two the congress have no say in what the commander and chief does in battle because that is his job. that whole checks and balances thing. civics class anyone?

Why they have! Just like the new speaker of the house said they would, the new leadership in the House is showing it's muscle. Why just today, Nancy Pelosi declared there would be no more smoking on the floor of the House. Now that's political conviction that rivals people like Adams, Jackson, Jefferson, and even Burgler, I mean Berger!

I believe the most convincing advice came from the Pentagon! That is sure the hell the advice I would follow.

Dems have got to let Bush take the blame. Bush will get whatever he wants or Dems will get a big share of the blame for the failure of the war. It is all about what they call "POLITICAL COVER".
