I've only heard of Edith Wharton and her one book called "House of Mirth," which I did indeed read, and enjoyed thoroughly. I read this one article about that book and it said how this one lady sent some money to Edith Wharton asking that she not kill the heroine, lols

I've only read "House of Mirth" but I loved it, particularly the way she deals with issues like consumerism and celebrity. I definitely plan on reading more of her works.
