Why is it that so many of us care so much when a celebrity gets divorced, arrested, taped having sex, etc. etc. I think this is so pathetic. How can we rid ourselves of this malady?

because unfortunately America has warped alot of people to have unrealistic reality, forgetting they eat, sleep, ****, just like the rest of us they want us to worship them like there of a higher power. the only difference is they have a ridiculous cash flow, and overly popular. but there HUMAN just like us. And also when It comes down to it, besides the ridiculous cash flow, the popularitity there the most unhappy people in the world.

I am not sure why this is so. I personally don't care much about what they do for the most part. Perhaps its partly because the media keeps shoving them down our throats all the time. Maybe some people are then convinced that it must be something they should care about or it wouldn't be in the news? This is just a guess.

Negative side of life, sell. For a start on getting out of the malady is from the press, but first of all... on standardizing the morality of the individuals... despise the evil, praise the good.

People live vicariously through the lives of wealthy and famous people because they have no life of their own. I have no life, but I could care less about celebreties. I chose to focus my energies towards charitable causes and reading worthwhile literature not trash magazines like People and other celebrity chasing magazines.
