You should try a really good shaving gel. When using the gel make sure you to use a lot so that it's a thicker foam when you shave the area. Also try to go to your local store and get a cream called bikini zone. Put this on as soon as you finish shaving. It should help with the razor burn and razor bumps. It's not about using expensive razors. What it boils down to is your skin type. You probably have very sensitive skin in that area and razor burn is a result of it. If none of these things work for you then your next option could be waxing. Give this a try first and see what happens.

I tried this a few times....never could stand the itchy regrowth ( or razor burn ) Waxing really is the best way....but be ready for pain...and bruising...and bleeding.....maybe it is not the best way ! Another thing I have tried is using a Dapilatory cream ( like Nair ) and then just shaving whatever the cream misses. Ive also heard that an Aspirin paste applied after shaving helps prevent razor burn.

Have you tried using a good shave cream/gel? Also, you're supposed to shave in the direction of the hair growth, not against it. That can cause the burn as well as ingrown hairs. If you've tried this, then try going to your local drugstore and look for products that are specifically made for the bikini area.
