Coil Packs, or battery, or you might even have a ground off. Or bad ignition wires, have you tried jumping it off the starter (screwdriver + starter= ignition) if that works you can always install a "batman" button to curcumvient the ignition process. Or you might have a bad fuse.

You have a part inside the distributor called an igniter. It is bad and needs replacing. It's held in with 2 screws. You can do this. I worked for Toyota for 10 years and we replaced a lot of these. Price is about $100.00

I really dont know that much about cars, but when my Camry wouldnt start I checked the battery cables to make sure they were connected. There was too much corrosion on the battery to connect to the wiring. I used soda for a temp. fix.

There is something called an ligniter on your ignition system. Best have someone familiar with Toyotas look at it.

What year ?? If you have a rotor in your distributor it must be an early model.

check your coil for spark..... if no spark make sure you have power to it.... if you do, then chane coil
