Write about why physical education (PE) class needs to be offered to higher grades and not just elementary. At my school, if you didn't play sports after elementary, you had no way to exercise while at school. We could just sit around and get into things which led to people getting in trouble and gaining weight. A weekly 15 minute kickball game or volleyball for small classes would even be better than nothing.

Try to convince the class/teacher why it is OK to be pro-choice regarding abortion and oppose capital punishment for murderers.
As a starting point, think of the issue of abortion is a personal choice and the issue of capital punishment is choice made by society. And, you should never mix the two issues. They are two separate issues that have to be addressed in a different light, even though there is a temptation to join the two and discuss morality, politics and religion....

Pick a topic that is something she cares about, say using animals for scientific experiment, large cars that pollute badly, how poor people don't get any health insurance, anything she can argue for or against, that she is concerned about. She needs to convince (persuade) that something we do nees to be done better or differently.

if she's in 7th grade (I dont know the equivalent here in England), but i guess topics such as:
- why we should wear a school uniform (i.e. she could argue its good to because it would help us spend less time deciding what to wear for school / less social pressures / more time spent on other things etc)
- why we should NOT wear a school uniform (i.e. she could argue that it takes away peoples right to be unique/different etc)
- why school should have more recess (to refresh minds, etc)
etc
