Depends what you are on fire WITH.
If you were covered in grease or oil, NO Water.....I'd use fire extinguisher or try to smother you with a large blanket and roll you around.
Otherwise, if not an oil based fire, water is ok.
The BEST way to handle this situation in general is to get the person on the ground, cover them with a large blanket or similar object and roll them around to smother the flames.

A moist blanket thrown over you to smother the flames while you roll on the ground. The only way to put out fire is to take the oxygen out of the equation, which is what feeds the fire. Smothering it is all that works on something like a person.

Take off my clothes and smother the flames. If that didn't work I'd carry you to the lake and get you absolutely drenched before thoroughly examining you ;)

the first avalable fire extingwisher ani if ther is not one around i woild role you on the floor in some dust to limit the amout of oxygen avalable to the flames
