2500 (multiply 5x5 and then add the zeros from the 500)
quick and easy...no calc. needed

you can do this with other problems to you just multiply by the first digit in each and then add the zeros necessary!
ex:
50x500 would be 25000

5 is one of the easied numbers to multiply by, add a zero on the end and half it.

500x10=5000
5000/2=2500
