I like the idea of being a doctor, but to be honest with myself, I'm not that hard of a worker. My grades are average (A's, B's, and a couple of C's. But I've never had lower than a C). My strengths are in science (usually the kind that doesn't require a lot of math), English, and history. I'm only fond of kids from a distance, I have problems meeting deadlines because I often procrastinate on things I don't want to do, and I don't think I'd be able to stand sitting in a cubicle all day. I want something that will keep my interest and keep me entertained--I work my hardest for things I enjoy.

I do plan on going to college. I'll go to the best college willing to accept me.

Other careers I have thought about are: archaeology, environmental science, wildlife biology, photography, writing, astronomy, journalism, psychology

I actually love writing. But I've been frustrated lately because I've been having trouble finding something to write about. I do plan on being a freelance author on the side of whatever I choose to do.

According to the Myers Briggs-like test I took, I should be an architect. I've thought of that before, because I also like (and am good at) art, but I don't know if I would be any good at it.

The best thing for you to do would be to take an Occupational Interest Assessment test. These tests take into account your personal interests and career strengths and weaknesses to come up with a type of job you would most be interested in. They do cost money for the results, though. There is a link below that goes to one of these test and sells it for about $20. I paid $30 for mine, but it was worth it to find out what I would be best at because I was not sure.

Try to see your guidance counselor and ask about the Myers Briggs test. This is a personality test that will suggest careers/fields based on how you answer questions.

You can also use google to find some free tests online that are comparable to the Myers Briggs.

Good luck! :)

As you take classes your first two years of college (basic education classes), perhaps this would be an ideal time to intern with various state or federal organizations/companies. This will give you the opportunity to explore your strengths/weaknesses in a given career field.

heck you don't sell yourself very well do you. Howabout on a checkout at Morrisons. (Only Joking)

Erm... Pathology Lab of local hospital, you'd grow cultures and ascertain what was wrong with any particluar tumour/body part taken from a person, analys urine and blood specimens. No kids involved, unless the bit your testing was from one, no cubicle to sit in, interesting, not dull and boring, quite a laugh actually.

Maybe you should look into massage therapy. School is less than a year in most cases, you make great money and "full time" is 20-25 hours a week!

Don't be a writer. I don't think you'd enjoy it.
