Do I need to register my game to play online?

to help combat piracy, online servers will only allow one player profile per cd key. Either you bought a used a game that the former owner already created a profile for, are using a stolen / downloaded version of the game (everyone uses the same key to activate these), or someone (via a keygen) used your cd key before you got a chance to.

and yes some companies require registration first, try that first.

You might try contacting the admin to try and prove that you purchased the game legitimately, but you are probably screwed.

Better contact the company who made it. They should be able to track it down. Tell them where you bought it too.

Either someone is using your key, or you are using someone elses.
