which is easier to learn: piano or flute?

I started out playing the piano, and then I played the flute in high school. I could read the music better than other kids, but I still think that flute was easier. You can use piano sheet music and play it on your flute also.

I think the flute is a little easier but by learning the piano it makes it much easier to learn other instruments. A lot of keyboard players I have played with over the years can play several instruments!

i think piano would be way easier because there is 1 key for each note.. [if you get what i mean..] i don't know about the flute though.. also, i think, once you learn how to play the piano, it makes it easier to learn other instruments [for e.g. guitar]..
i learned piano when i was a kid, now i'm learning gutiar and i find it quite easy coz i already know how to read music and etc..

Both will require you to learn musical notation and have the ability to sight read sheet music. I think piano would be much easier to learn than the flute, however, the flute will be easier to get good at quickly.

I've been playing violin for 5 years now.. and The piano for 6 years.. The flute has different notes.. like on the piano... the note "A" is the same as on the violin.. but ON the flute, it's different. So you kinda have to remember that the notes on the violin are the same notes on the piano.. It might be confusing, but take a hit at it.

I think piano would be easier, because it's easier to learn all of the notes on the piano than it is on other instruments, and if you can play the piano, it is way easier to play other instruments.

i play the flute, it wasn't that hard to learn and really fun...i think it is easier than playing the piano

flute is easier, piano you need more coordination, eventurally both hands need to play independently from one another
