I am not sure on a Polo but on the Passat you simply put your key in the ignition and then press the two buttons on the dashboard and the light goes off - caught them doing it to my car after they forgot to reset when it was serviced.

If you mean reset it, go to a shop. If you mean shut it off anyway possible, take a .44 Magnum and put that light into orbit.
