especially since it is so easy to make people say two different things to the "same question". Such as this, "Do you support illegal immigrants getting welfare from our government?" Most say no, but then i may ask, "Do you support children who are illegal immigrant's to getting food and shelter from our government?"

No. And neither should any other thinking person.

Poll questions are designed to prove the point of the pollster. Not reliable science.

A Quinnipiac University poll asked the following in November:

"Currently illegal immigrants cannot apply for citizenship. If the law were changed to allow illegal immigrants to register into a guest worker program, should that program offer them the ability to work toward citizenship over a period of several years?"

69% said yes. Pretty unambiguous.

Illegal Aliens don't qualify for welfare as they are not citizens!

Beyond that, They are illegally used mainly by Republicans as slave labor who pawns any service they need,, like medical care onto us! Company's doctor paperwork and hire them as part-time workers, like the MRE plant in Houston Texas!

Yes they should listen to polls, but not necessarily let them sway their actions!

The only reason politicians listen to polls is they want to get re-elected!

Polls are a tool. a very valuable tool if used properly. Should the president listen to them, absolutely. If he does not he is not using one of the most valuable tools at his disposal. And Yes, Clinton used polls as well as many other tools to find out what the people of America wanted.

No, I don't think the President should pay much attention to the polls. If President Bush did that we'd be in one heck of a mess here in America, fighting terrorists in our streets. As for the illegals. I don't think we should have to support ANY OF THEM, NOT EVEN THEIR KIDS!

No reason to; he's not up for election anymore and hasn't been for 2 years now.

He is going to have to listen to the Democrats though, now that they have the majority in both houses of Congress.

The President should start listening to the people instead of the voices in his head.
