Since I went through the change at 36, which was 10 yrs ago. In the last 2 yrs sex has become very painful. We use a lubicant which helps. Is there anything else we could try

I'm guessing that you're talking about menopause. There's really not much you can do unless you want to do hormone replacement therapy, which can increase your risk of breast cancer.

The estrogen you were producing for so long caused your vagina to become thick, elastic and more lubricated. Now that you're no longer producing it, you've lost some of that elasticity and lubrication.

This is normal.

Anytime sex is painful then you should see your gyno. Pain during sex could be a wide range of things. It could be a simple yeast or bacterial infection...or it could be something much more severe. I can't believe you've let this go for 2 years! Even if it is just a matter of needing more lubricant...your doctor can help you...and it's always better safe than sorry.

Please see a doctor about this. My Mother was having this problem and instead of seeing a doctor she used more lubricant.

Then finally my step-dad made the appointment for her, and took her to the doctor. They ran several tests. She had some form of cancer. She waited way to long to get checked out.

We buried her about 2 months after my step-dad took her to the doctor. Get to your doctor and do it NOW!!!!!!!!
