Let x be one of the odd integers.
Then x + 2 would be the next odd integer, since odd numbers differ by 2.

It follows that the first integer, x, added to the second integer, x + 2, would be at least 49. That is

x + x + 2 >= 49

Solving this inequality,

2x + 2 >= 49
2x >= 47, therefore
x >= 23.5

Now, since x is an odd integer, what is the smallest odd value of x greater than 23.5? The answer to that is not 24 (since it's even), but it's 25.

This means the two smallest consecutive odd integers whose sum is at least 49 are 25 and 27. They add up to 52, but that's the best you can do given the circumstances.

Let the first odd integer be 2n+1 where n is an positive
then the second odd integer is 2n+3
Now (2n+1) + (2n+3) >= 49
4n+4 >= 49
4n>=45
n>=45/4=11.25 or n >=12 as n must be an integer and this must be true for the equation to work; rounded up to next greatest integer
So take n=11 so the first is 2(12)+1 = 25; then the
second is 2n+3 = 2(12)+3 = 27
