If its something of a personal or sensitive nature yes but mainly for the extra time to reword it to make it sound easier. I am an honest person and feel if you ask a question then you deserve the honest response. So like I said if its of a sensitive nature I will stop and think before opening my mouth to soften a blow.

I think twice before anything comes out of my mouth although I say what I feel and I am honest, sometimes brutally so. I only really think twice so that I can make sure that what I say is acceptable to say at that time and place.

Unfortunately, that is one of my biggest weaknesses - "Starting mouth before brain is engaged!"

I've gotten better over the years; I've matured (I'd like to thin so, anyway!) This is the reason I write so much now; I can edit what I'm really trying to get across without getting "oral athlete's foot" by putting my foot into my mouth all the time!

It also cuts down on brain farts!

I didn't always. As a young child with ADHD, I was worse than most. But perhaps because of that fact and due to the patience and caring of my family and friends, as a young man I do my best to think twice before speaking.

But that doesn't mean I'm not any less of a pontificating blabber mouth...it just means I'm a pontificating blabbermouth whose aware of his faults, flaws, and other points of view. ;)

Often more than twice. I don't like people who just run their jaws because they like the sound of their own voice.

I tend to lay back in the weeds more, listen, and offer something when I think it's of value.

Yes.

However, I do always say what I truly feel. :)

Just always have to think about how I'm going to word it.
