Is that the racist of today? critizing their own people who they are ashamed of or just dont like?

Like whites critisize whites, blacks against blacks, asians against asians and so forth.

For the girl who posted below me, its not just the older generation Chinese who hate the Japanese. That's pretty careless for you to say something like that. I know a handful of people (friends, colleagues, relatives) who are NOT the older generation, and they hate the Japanese because of what they had done to their relatives. If my ancestors were victims to the Japanese, heck yes, I'd be mad even now, and I'm considered the younger generation (I'm 22 years old). You have no idea the things they did in specifics. I'm sure if someone pulled your great grandmother's unborn fetus out while she was conscious and kicked it around like a soccer ball, I'm sure you would be angry towards those people too. This is an example of a fact, something they actually did. And I'm sure they didn't do it only because they were angry, but because they were both angry and racist.

Totally possible.
Talk to anyone who lives in Hong Kong or Mainland China.
Technically, Hong Kong people are CHINESE. There is absolutely no mistake to that. Physically and Geographically.

I wouldn't say all Hong Kongers, but A LOT of them are extremely racist towards the Mainland Chinese, because they view them as "Country Folk", uncivilized people, bad manners, bad hygiene, bad workers, cheap, etc., etc. I wouldn't consider this as stereotyping, because there are people in Hong Kong who I have seen with my own eyes, treat Mainland Chinese people very harshly based on their race...which means that's being racist, right?

I would say that this racism going on between Hong Kong Chinese and Mainland Chinese all started from stereotyping. What the Hong Kongers keep denying is the fact that they too are Chinese people, no matter if they are from Hong Kong or Mainland China. But because of all the negative stereotypes of Mainland Chinese people, the Hong Kongers are ashamed of them, and not only do they treat them badly, but they separate themselves from them, even though they are THE EXACT SAME RACE.

So, yes its very possible to be racist towards your own group of people...shows you how ignorant people are in this world.

I just read the additional comments you added about the Vietnamese hating the Chinese.

So let's bring up the issue about racism within the Asian communities. Keep in mind, not every Asian is racist towards their own people, but it is WIDESPREAD.

The Japanese are very racist. They view anyone (black, white, green, yellow, red) who is not Japanese as an outsider. Secondly, they invaded China many years ago and attacked the Chinese, so many Chinese who haven't got over that also hate the Japanese. This also applies to Korea, because Japan also invaded Korea and killed any of their people back in the day, so the Koreans hate the Japanese as well. What bothers me about this is that a lot of the younger generation Chinese and Koreans now love the whole "Japanese culture" (anime, music, fashion etc.), which makes all of this to be a big contradiction.

The Northern Asians (Korean, Chinese, and Japanese) looks badly upon the Southeast Asians (Vietnamese, Cambodian, Filipinos), mainly critizing them for their "uncivilizedness", hygeine and skin color, because the Southeast Asians are much darker skinned and have the typical flat Asian button nose. They also view these as the poorer countries. A more specific example of this, is when my relatives who are Chinese, told me to stop going out in the sun, because my skin color was tanning and that I'd end up looking like a filipina, or a Vietnamese girl. Also, a lot of the Southeast Asians come to the Northern Asian countries to work, usually as nannies or housemaids, and so they are looked down on for this reason as well.

I don't feel this way about Asians, I'm just typing how most Asians these days behave toward other Asians and why. But yes, it very possible to be racist towards your own people, although I view Vietnamese and Chinese or Korean people, etc., as completely different races altogether. They have completely different cultures, foods, and languages. So don't lump all Asians together. But there is definitely racism between Asians also.

its called internalized racism.
there is also a more popular thing called internatized homophobia.

I think with black people ( in america) there are so many sterotypes that effects members of the community. I think that when a person does act sterotypical (in a negitive way) that other members of the community get very angry and sometimes judgemental with out warrant

the problem with white people is that to others we are one kind of people. to a white person they are different based on their country.

some mexicans hate puerto ricans simply because of the citizenship thing.

Chinese and Japanise people who are older may still ahve hatred due to world war 2. most of the younger generations aren't angry because they never experienced it

Apparently everyone is racist, you cannot ask a question about any race including your own without being labeled as such.

I'll criticize anyone who I feel is wrong and that includes blacks. To ignore the problems in our race only adds to them.
