I will tell you I hate the skinny jeans(b I am not skinny or fat but i don't like that style) but I do like revisit to the 80's is this really coming back and what should i have in my wardrobe?

look at any rerun of the show FAME and you will see what is coming back in.. I will tell you I felt I was back in public school when i went shopping last week to find that tights and big bulky sweaters and belts are back in fashion .. I should have told my big sis to save her clothes for me it was like looking at her closet for stealing leg warmers...

I am a huge fashion nut too. Cant really afford everything I long to buy, but that does not stop me from browsing, learning and updating myself on current fashion trends.
From what i have noticed belted outfits are back with a bang. But they have modified slightly from the 80's. Its now usually belted shirt dresses, girly dresses or even evening dresses. It comes in sequins, patent, with a cute bow or large. If you dont like skinny jeans then pair them with this season's other hot accressory - leggings, but they should be only in black, not printed and crazy like the 80's was.
Oversized bags with short handles that you lug around on your elbow are also in.
Who are your fasion icons? I tend to like the way a certain person dresses, it appeals to me, and I keep that look in mind when I go shopping.

ballet flats, leggings, chunky jewelry, ripped denim, look for prints like checkers and stripes. if you want to stay away from skinny jeans try a long and lean jean. also there are some cool new hair cuts that are very 80s.

I don't like skinny jeans either, I really don't like anything in fashion right now.
I don't know about your wardrobe, but a cute accessory is a thick red/white/black head band. :o)

The shiny shirts kinda look like satin.... in red or black or dark pruple
Pencil skirts fitted at the waist
Belts- thick, you wear closer to your chest than your hips.
