How can I play piano music and not sound choppy?

You must work on your rhythm. My suggestion is using a click track while practicing.

Practice moving your fingers quickly, and not stopping in between notes, and if it's hard, play the song slow at first. When you can play it smoothly, play it a little faster, and eventually work up to the normal speed, and you should be able to play it smoothly without it sounding choppy.
