No. It shows great arrogance (if not insanity) not to respond in the face of important information from trusted advisers and the voting public.
If he and his family were sent to the front lines in Iraq, he'd have a different opinion of his "mission." He's an embarrassment to this country.

The beauty of the decider is that he makes his own reality. That's cuz he is the man. Who's the man? Are you the man? No, he's the man. Reality starts from him. If he doesn't like it, he changes it. Makes some decisions. Decides some stuff.
If he doesn't like Saddam, he takes him out.
If he wants to snort coke and have daddy clean up the mess, he does it.
If he wants to wave pom-poms at Yale.
If he wants to be an alcoholic for 20 years.
If he wants to be a philanderer.
If he wants to kick his dad in public every day.
Get it, smart guy? Leaders define reality.
I worship the guy. I never knew a screw-up could get so much attention.

The man has never made a decision in his life. He can't even form a complete sentence when speaking. No other President in history has had such an army of talking heads who preface their remarks with: "What the President meant to say was..." and the following answer bears no resemblence to the original answer.

Yes because being popular is not always right. That is why a couple of the past presidents were too scared to stand up and face terrorism head on.

hell no, their is nothing that he did that was admirable..Do you really think that he is telling the public the truth.. Haliburton( however you spell it) was the first company bidding for the rebuilding of Irag and Afganistan.. It just so happens that this is his company. He's personally benefiting from the war, i cant admire that!!!
I admire his ability to have a shady plan and execute it all the way to the white house

Well, if any of his decisions ever turned out to be right, then maybe I could admire the guy. Instead, his decisions are unpopular and seem stupid from the get go, and as time passes they just seem dumber and dumber....

I might if he made decisions that were based on what he truly believed was good for our country, as the president is supposed to do; instead of decisions based on what's good for his pocket, which an oil tycoon does.
Even then it is hard to admire someone who bears such a striking resemblance to BoBo the singing chimpanzee.

No where in the constitution does it say the president must base his decision on the polls. He was elected, twice, and now can do what he sees fit, despite what many Americans do not like. Its not unconstitutional, just unpopular. There is a difference, libbies

Well, I must admit it takes a strong personality to stand firmly behind your decisions in the face of widespread disagreement, even within your own party. But does that border on unreasonableness and/or just plain old stubbornness?

Admire him, no way. A responsible president would realize that many of people that he is ignoring are the very people who put him into office. Some like to say that if you voted for him, then it is your responsibility to support him no matter what. To that I say you are an idiot. In December of 2006, his approval rating was only 27%. That is atrocious. He needs to listen to the citizens of this country. He needs to answer the questions directly, not spin them until the eventual answer does not even relate to the original question. To ignore the public outcry as he has done saddens me. This nation is suffering because of the agenda of one man and his closest supporters. He will be remembered as the worst president in our nations history.
