If he's already doing that with his new girlfriend within a week, than he's probably just using her for that. And no, it's definitely not weird to be upset about a breakup, it's perfectly normal. There's no specific way to get over a breakup really. You just have to tell yourself that everything happens for a reason, whether you believe that right now or not. You'll find a guy 372894x better than you ever thought your ex could be. Just wait.
Everything will turn out okay in the end, and if it's not okay...well then its not the end. :)
